Our Mission

Mission

The Students for Food Policy and Obesity Prevention (FPOP) was formed in 2010 by students committed to the promotion of behaviors, attitudes and policy that lead to good health, both physically and mentally. We believe public health professionals have a commitment to combat the proliferation of obesity and its related co-morbidities, while advocating for healthier communities and the resources necessary to sustain them.

We are strongly dedicated to fostering leadership at the academic level by uniting like-minded students across disciplines to engage in a conversation with experts in the field and with each other. We aim to foster the professional development of a passionate student cohort dedicated to improving the broader health and well being of their community.
